What is a good company name for Photography/Graphic Design/Event Planning Company?

I am starting a small company that will include:
*photography (Mostly outside in natural light – portraits, engagement, maternity, family, children)
*Graphic Design (flyers, invitations, favors, Christmas Cards, business cards, …)
* Event Planning (Showers – baby and bridal, birthday, engagement parties)

I am very involved in my church and love Jesus with all my heart.

I have been thinking about a company name since July this year. I came up with
J29:Eleven Designs. (Favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11) This reminds people of 9/11. I don’t want a company name that reminds people of a ver sad day in American History.

I have an excel spreadsheet that is filled with ideas. Can you help?

I really didn’t want to have the name too long but because it encompass so much stuff I should include Photography and Graphic Design. You think?

I love Jesus too! You do alot of different things so you don’t want a name like Shutter that just points to the photography part of your business. I think you need a broader name. I do alot of things too, all under "design" so I called my business "Plain Jane Design" and underneath that, list "photography, painting, interior design". That way, I can give my card out for any of those interests. I kind of liked the J29:Eleven Designs myself:D

I love photography and I have already taken a intro/basics digital photography seminar and I kind of want to go to the next level but in the city I lived there is nothing… so I thought that an online seminar could be a nice choice and advise …..

I have heard very good things about this photography class. I know that the person who runs it (James) is an excellent photographer and you will certainly learn a lot from him.

Is it alright to leave a digital photo frame on?

I just got a digital photo frame from a friend. It does not say if it is alright to leave it on all the time. it is using a tft lcd screen. and does not use batteries.

Are photography classes worth the investment?

Is it a good idea to take photography classes? Are the classes that Nikon offers on their website worth the money?

I’ve been a career photographer for a long time. I’ve always found the best way to learn about any of my cameras is "on the street."

Get out and shoot. Shoot anything and everything. Try fast shutter, show shutter, good light, bad light and experiment all you want.
After all they’re just digital files.

If you want to learn more quickly – that is book learn and not street learn (which is the best way because we learn by doing) then the class may be right for you.

I would experiment first – then see where you are. Then if you want to invest – hey go for it. I suspect after a few days / weeks of piddling with your camera you’ll discover all you need to know – you already know.

What are some good books about the History of Digital Photography?

I am working on a school paper (Senior Project report) that has to be 10-12 pages long. I am doing mine on the History of Digital Photography. I have found plenty of websites, but no books on the history of Digital photography. Any Suggestions? Titles AND Authors if you can manage it. Thanks!

Lens 24-105mmm advisable for event photography?

i’d like to ask if canon lens 24-105mm is advisable or okay for event photography mainly indoor sports and concerts…

The only way for you to know is to use it and see.

I shoot a lot of "event" photography, usually drag races and celebrity charity events and I use a 24-70 mm f/2.8 lens and it is just fine.

When I shoot at concerts using an "All Access" venue pass, I use that lens and a 12-24 mm.

Looking at the 24-105 mm f/4 IS lens, it would seem to be a good choice for shooting both indoor sports and concerts.

I am a large Canon user and I was wondering what some of the best and most active digital photography forums are. Preferably exclusive to Canon DSLR’s but they don’t have to be. Thanks guys!

The events are varied locations and occasions. just looking for name relating to photography and people and events.

I can give out a worst name for this – The 007 Snappers, The Distinctive Guest Shot. Just kidding.
